Dang I really wish there was a stronger plot

This is so much fun

The author clearly has a specific time period in mind for this fictional world and has put a lot of care into making it feel real. I also really enjoy how the noble house actually feels lived in due to the number of staff and how much work they put into actually running the household

"Each lash on her back was a memory of a moment stolen for herself..."

Only 5 pages in and already I'm getting so much inspiration. The writing is adequate, if a little too telling in some spots, though that may just be my preference
