I think the only story i wont like of this book will be the first one. All the rest of them have been great, like im actually smiling and even chuckling at times.
Random, bet one thing i for sure wasn’t expecting for was a n-word drop multitude of times…

“I can't stand to think about him waiting in the room and knowing he's going to get it. It's too damned awful.?”
“Well,” said George, 'you better not think about it?”

“Hills like white elephants”
I fee like i just invaded a conversation i should not be a part of…
“‘Would you do something for me now?'
'I'd do anything for you.?
Would you please please please please please please please stop talking?'”

"Why must not a man marry?'
'He cannot marry. He cannot marry, If he is to lose everything, he should not place himself in a position to lose that. He should not place himself in a position to lose. He should find things he cannot lose”

“His instincts and his knowledge worked automatically, and his brain worked slowly and in words. He knew all about bulls. He did not have to think about them. He just did the right thing. His eyes noted things and his body performed the necessary measures without thought. If he thought about it, he would be gone.”

Well..? Um..? Would have loved to understand what i read!
The last two pages were good.. but thats kinda it. I didn’t enjoy the bull fighting description, like i get that it was to represent this sort of idiotic push to reach your goal no matter the path, the struggle just with pure bruce force and how just reaching that one goal sometimes is all that can matter to someone, but i feel it didn’t resonate with me
