I don't think they've known each other for longer than 2.5 weeks and their conversations are all less than 100 words at a time before they're jumping into bed

“It was just sex with her, angel. As raw as you and I fuck, it’s still making love. Every time, from the very first time. You’re the only one who’s ever gotten to me that way.”

I heaved out a breath. “Okay. I’m marginally better.”

What does anyone, including Eva, know about Gideon besides that he tall and handsome and muscular and large? Would it kill this author to write one conversation between the two of them that doesn't get cut short in the name of smut?

Corrinne showing up might have been the most interesting part of this book, but alas it last less than 3 seconds

This is torture

“I saw Dr. Petersen on Friday. He’s going to take me on as a patient, and—if you agree—he’ll take us both on as a couple. I figured if you can trust him, I can try.”

THEYVE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR TWO WEEKS AND THEY NEED COUPLES THERAPY??

“He had another nightmare. A really bad one. When I asked him about it he denied, he lied, then he acted like I was nuts.”

Can this girl stop telling her best friend about every minute of her life? Damn.

“Your words don’t mean shit when you can’t back them up. From the moment we met, you’ve been hot for me. You haven’t been able to look at me without making it damn clear you want to fuck my brains out. And that’s gone, Gideon.” My eyes burned. “That look … it’s gone.”

Eva’s character is starting to annoy me.

“You should sit down. I have to tell you things about me. Ugly things.”

Again, this is day 11 them of knowing each other.

“Angel …” His lips moved ardently over my face. “That look was for you. Maggie caught me outside and I told her I was heading home to you. I can’t help how I look when I’m thinking about us being alone together.”

This is after she told him that Maggie called her a whore? Sheesh.
