Status Updates From Enchanted (Sayerne, #2)

This revised version was much improved from the first time I tried the tale. Annelise and Rolfe were very likable and made a good team. I was very happy with the result and look forward to diving further into this reawakened series! Full review to come.

Checking out the revised version of a 20 year old story. Thus far I’m intrigued! Curses, wolves, and a fair maiden held prisoner. My favorite Delacroix things ;)

The bones and idea of the story are basically good. I think if it were written today, it'd have been nuanced and finessed more, especially with the characters. Still glad I'm reading it.

This is from 1997. (!) So interesting to see what has changed in historical romance and what has stayed the same. Hero was one of those wounded-by-a-woman-and-can
-never-trust-again types. Not too over the top with him, but still there. And on page 62 they still haven't met yet! I'm impatient for that to happen. ;)

Well, in celebration of Halloween, I found a book with a hero who is literally cursed. Hopefully the book will not be too weird...
