…let me tell you that the one sin I have come to fear more than any other is certainty. Certainty is the great enemy of unity. Certainty is the deadly enemy of tolerance… Our faith is a living thing precisely because it walks hand in hand with doubt. If there was only certainty, and of there was no doubt, there would be no mystery, and therefore no need for faith.

Chapter 3 introduced the curveballs, with 4 actually giving some positions, really enjoyed them, much better than the first 2, granted there are soo many characters its hard to keep track of them, other than the main handful. Excited to see where the Robins stand on who they fancy to win and who they think would make the best Pope.

Too many names to keep up, but alas the stage has been set. Bellini or whatever his name has my vote so far

Sadly I have left these far too late and don't wanna ruin the second chapter by forcing myself to read it rn so shall get it read tomorrow (my apologies boys, this shall not happen again). First chapter was genuinely really strong imo, I have high hopes for this.

Don’t love it. Don’t hate it.
Not a lot of substance to comment on as of yet.
I lowkey feel like it could slap though.

…privately he thought the late Pope had occasionally gone too far in his endless harping on about simplicity and humility. An excess of simplicity, after all, was just another form of ostentation, and pride in one’s humility a sin.
