Status Updates From Selected Poems of Cavafy

'the god forsakes antony' immediately familiar. Leonard Cohen every good place I go you have been before...new this poem straight away and thought Lenny C you sneaky plagiariser, but upon a google no he "translated" the poem into the song 'Alexandra Leaving'. where alexandria the city becomes alexander the woman. Both the poem and the song it inspired had me crying again on multiple buses across the greek mainland.

'the city' what a strong fcking start! cried in kolonaki athens reading this.
