Status Updates From One by One

The panic level is rising and yet we still seem no closer to figuring out where everyone is and what's really been happening... I want to find out the real cause!

So what I like most in this story so far is the dialogue and rising sense of panic. It's a modern-day setting and there are millions of people who have disappeared into thin air. The main characters, Peter and Sophia, seem to have a good sense of self and a good running commentary on how they feel in the mad situation, and that helps the book feel exciting. Though I do want to find out what has actually happened...

Aliens? Church? Armageddon? --- Where have all the people gone...
