Respected without trust is a tough thing to be. I can’t say I’m surprised Ren doesn’t trust her but I’m more surprised that he respects her without knowing her full story. Speaks a lot about his character

Yeah, I don’t know if it’s the storytelling or the narrative itself but something is lacking. I feel like all of these concepts and ideas would be awesome if they just had a little more…pizzaz to them. You know? Who knows, maybe it’s just me

I find it interesting he calls his parents by their first names. It kind of throws me off as I’m not good with the names of background characters in retelling a if they don’t remain the same; but hey, to each his own. (I guess you could say it’s because he isn’t close to them, but it just doesn’t make sense to me the way it’s written.)
