It is a pleasure to return to the gothic mystery genre of my childhood and to my second hardcover novel by Velda Johnston. There is an elegance and pleasure here that e-books will never approach. They are for people who just want to read the story text. The authenticity and pleasure of soft and hardcovers are for people who like books, the objects, over and above their story contents. That is an easy explanation.
