At this point in the book, the stories taking place in the film and in the novel start to diverge. The novel is far more disastrous and handles this disaster so calmly you barely even realize you're sweating bullets. Arthur C. narrating monkeys the same way he narrates spaceships nearly blowing to pieces. Really great. Beyond excited for the Stargate sequence.

Listen, I love a book about space as much as the next person. But I have been struggling to get through this one
