Status Updates From Spike: The Complete Series

I can’t say that I’m totally satisfied with this ending! I mean, sure there was a message at the end but I feel like the writers could have gotten there without having to use SPACE BUGS!!

Not sure how I feel about this issue. The story kept on building and building, getting a seriously evil (considering that he’s human) villain and a super powerful witch. You would think that something incredible would happen. Turns out it all ends with a punch. And the events of last issue kind of become moot. I have no idea why they had Willow in this series, besides trying to entice more people to read the comic.

I understand what they were trying to do in this issue, I do...however, it seems to me that they’ve just wasted such a good story line and great character development. Yes, Spike was good but he wanted to be BETTER. In saying that, I'm definitely interested to see where they go from here!

Not sure if it was meant to but a lot of John’s scenes reminded me of John Wick. I haven’t actually watched any of the movies, but I have seen a few snippets here and there! Anyway, Willow is back!! I am so excited to see more of her in this series and how she interacts with the rest of the cast!

Vegas is cut off from the rest of the world. John goes crazy (well crazier!) and Spike and Drusilla sort of clear the air. Plus Willow is hinted at! I'm excited for what is to come!

Firstly, most of this issue was just confusing! There was a fight scene where Spike and Drusilla were fighting demons respectively but they were in the same space/room but Spike couldn’t see Dru? Then people were appearing and disappearing? Anyway, Spike DEFINITELY sees Dru at the end of this issue!

Spike tries to deal with Wolfram & Hart himself! In a turn of events, Jeremy gets possessed, becoming the new W&H liaison and offers Spike their penthouse. But John (a human who was shown murdering his family?) doesn’t like Spike’s answer and shoots him out a window! Lucky for Spike, Groo and dragon Cordy show up! I am loving these illustrations!

A very Spike-ish first issue! It was cool seeing a couple of old Spike series elements coming back in like Beck (who I had totally forgotten about) and Betta George! I can’t wait to see what Spike and his crew get up to!

Haha 🤣🤣 the shade being thrown at Twilight and stephanie Meyer right now! I am dead ☠☠! This is hilarious so far!
