Status Updates From What the Woods Took

Waking up in the dark to two large men in your room and no explanation what's going on sounds real sketchy are there adults who really think that is the best way to handle an unruly teen and pay for the service...

I do think the ending was a little anticlimactic, especially with how spooky and eerie the beginning of the book was I think by the time we knew what the mimics were it wasn’t scary and you kinda knew the rest of them were gonna be okay. I like it the way it is but a really interesting thing to explore would’ve been to dive deeper into what it means to be human because you have these entities trying to be human

Okayyyy I really liked it I love a good spooky forest and the found family was really cute. I would’ve liked this a lot more in high school, which is a feeling I have a lot with YA books lately but it was still such a fun read and perfect for the trip to 70 mile
