Status Updates From Fox in Socks (Book & Tape)

Notes:
(1) No real point to this or plot
except to tie your tongue in knots.
- The trickster Fox in Socks annoys
poor Mr. Knox with verbal ploys.
The reader too is booby-trapped.
- This sort of rhyming's more a rap.
(2) Chaotic, yes, but very fun
the way tongue-twister rhyming's done.
- Art's on point in illustrating,
literally, in recreating
what exactly lines are stating.

I’m reading this out loud to myself (and maybe my cat wherever she is?) at 2:30 am in an attempt to fire myself out enough to sleep. I’m not sure it worked, but I DID thoroughly enjoy it. This is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books, but I’m not sure I actually ever owned a copy as a kid? The one I own now I bought after quitting my daycare job ; years ago because the kids LOVED it; it was sweet to read to them
