Héctor reprime a Paris por causar esta guerra, Paris propone un duelo contra Menelao por la mano de Helena y las riquezas y un acuerdo de paz. Al llegar la batalla Menelao tiene la ventaja ahorcando a Paris pero es ahí cuando está a punto de matarlo que llega Afrodita y se lleva a Paris salvándolo de la muerte y reencontrándose con Helena. Agamemnon dice que Menelao ganó y pide su recompensa e indemnización.
