Status Updates From Le Dernier Soleil (Tarot, #1)

I really want to like this but there are a few things that start to get annoying, mostly Brand the bodyguard/companion. He tells Rune repeatedly that he is fat/ needs to loose weight feeding into Rune's obvious body issues. He is incredibly incompetent, i.e. if you have a body to guard then stay with that body so you can guard it!! Unless your job is to harp at the body and wait for them to save you...?!?
