Finished Chapter 3. I am glad the book bothers with the basics of non-interacting system with periodic potential.

Selective reading - just to get some literacy on optical lattices and Hubbard models rather than deep knowledge. The first two chapters are very well written except occasional references to non-basic terms that they do not explain, like Feschbach resonance.
