Status Updates From Show Me: Missouri

Dailey could take a decent plot and make it boring as reading a phone book. So the big twist is...Tanya isn't really John's mom & Jake isn't his dad. Their dead siblings were the real parents & their shotgun marriage was due to a BIG misunderstanding. Jake didn't have to stay away from his family for 7 years. What story would exist with a simple 10 minute conversation? 0! But that would be just as entertaining.

Zzzzz...huh? This isn't over yet? Mmmph...I'd rather go back to sleep.

Damned if I know where this book is. Started it a WEEK ago, but kept putting it down. Once in a blue a Dailey book will impress me, but so far this one is dull. It takes place in Missouri and I'm so sick of the hero saying, "I'm from Missouri. You have to show me to believe." Plus he's been living in Africa for 7 years because he was forced to marry the mother of his son, but has made NO effort to get to know him.
