Andromache - an interesting twist on the Greek tragedy. You do get the sense of how Euripides is inverting Aeschylus’ precedent (if you can even compare them like that…) and also of how the sense of tragedy is warped at the end of the play - who really is the tragic figure? It’s quite a happy ending… on surface (?)

Andromache: What in the world! So Orestes pops in and says that Hermione was promised to him in marriage, but instead was given to the sone of Achilles (who's sleeping with Andromache, the wife of Hector). Hermione, of course, tried to have Andromche and her son (by the son of Achilles) killed), but now just wants to escape. It's like a soap opera. And I love the bashing of Agamemnon & Menelaus.
