Amazing. No notes. I hope we see Flavius again. Pandora is probably one of my favorite Anne Rice character after this book. She is strong of will, riddled with flaws and hope, but hope is all one has in undeath. I wish wish WISH she’d gone into more detail about her life after Marius, how she came to make Arjun and where she traveled. But I’ll have to live with it. Still great.

I wonder what designs Akasha had for Pandora, beyond keeping Marius happy and content. Because I think she feared being put out into the sun again, but maybe that’s hyperbole.

Reading this makes me sad that Anne Rice is gone. She was such a vivid storyteller. And her characters are great. And her research into these historical times is deep. Ahhhh. Also, love Flavius.

Akasha reaching out to Pandora is scary. Seeing all those ancient visions, that shit would be traumatizing.
