Status Updates From Don Quixote

The famous windmill chapter. It also has Sancho getting beat up for trying to steal the clothes off of a man that don quixote has injured. And also ends by breaking the fourth wall for a cliffhanger as don quixote is about to kill an innocent priest thinking them a knave.

In this chapter the people who burn his books convince him that it was a wizard or something that burned them. For about 15 days Don stays at home and also convinces Sancho Panza to be his squire with promise of becoming a governor. The book burning is described as rash in a word by Cervantes i wonder if this was commentary on the inquisition. By the end of the chapter Don Quixote has rode off with Sancho Panza.

The people go to Don Quixote's home and don't go through his books intending to burn them. Cervantes essentially lists a bunch of books on the time and gives his thoughts. Cervantes even talks about his own book which he says is inconclusive. They don't do that much research into the validity of each book and are eager to just burn them.

His neighbor personally finds don quixote on the ground musing about his princess and takes him home. There they over hear the barner priest and his servant talking about the chivalry books made him mad.

Don quixote comes across a boy being lashed and reprimeands the laser but fails to see the situation through making so the boy got an even worse lashing. He also attempts to duel someone wherein his horse ttops and falls. He berated the people that he wanted to fight while being stuck on the ground. Which causes one of them to break his Lance and beat him with it.

Don quixote knocks a couple dudes out. There are some names said one of the name apparently being a real guy. There also pictures that are there but they look weird in the black and white book.

Don Quixote travels to an inn which he believes is a castle. He interacts with the people there in a delusional manner. They laugh but play along.

Don Quixote is introduced there are references to books of knight errentry. It also shows that he's delusional.

The introduction starts with Cervantes lamenting his lack of an introduction. To which his friend barges in and inquires about his action. Cervantes explains how he wants his introduction in the style of the time. The friend tells the asset which he can fake such decorations before reminding him that is book si satire and does not need these sorts of decorations. This a good opening that sets the right mindset.
