I have not read either of Homer's epic poems The Iliad or The Odyssey,
but enjoyed this simple English language children's version of the stories.
The line drawing illustrations by Pogany were fantastic! Although minimal line drawings, they offered superb depth, accurate human proportioning and movement, and perfect compositions in their simplicity. An enjoyable read.
