I'm really not sure I can finish this. I realise now why I hated history at school.
Then, as now, I could never understand why anyone would want to know that Edward the Elder was married to Eadgifu who begat Edmund who married Aelfgifu & etc.
Or, did you know, that Aethelred the Unready by dint of a poor translation should've been Aethelred the Poorly Advised, which is weird because Aethelred actually means "Well
