Status Updates From Alebrijes

PREDICTION: My prediction for my book is that Leandro will reunite with his sister and they will live in the orphanage freely, accepting everything they give the pair. Currently, Leandro was taken from his sister. He didn't want his sister to get in trouble by taking a strawberry, so he took it himself and ate it, leading her away. He was then taken away and he thinks he will be executed.

POV: The point of view of my book is first person. I can tell due to the author using the pronouns "I" "me" and "my". In these pages recently, after getting caught, Leandro and his sister were taken to the orphanage and lived almost a full day there before getting out to go to the market. Leandro's sister tried to argue that she wanted to stay a few more days, giving it up after he turned her suggestion down.

PROTAGONIST: The protagonist of my book is Leandro. A protagonist means to be the main character in the book. In my book, Leandro is the main character because he was introduced first and is the one narrating the book. He also uses I, me, my pronouns instead of he, him, his pronouns. Leandro has a little sister named Gabi. They are both orphans, due to their mom is dead. He cares for his sister deeply.

SETTING: In the story, the setting is in the city of Poscatel. In the book it is said a lot that they were in Poscatel, it also has a map of the city inside. IN the pages I read recently, Leandro and Gabi's "Tia" was taken away due to her having items she wasn't allowed. After that, they snuck out of their pock and went to escape through The Dead Forest and The Dung Heaps.

I am fighting for my lifffffe not to DNF. And it's not that the book is bad. Objectively, I can tell it's pretty good. But it's just so not my vibe. It's bleak and a total slog, but Leandro's LIFE is a bleak slog. It's conveying the vibe accurately and well but it's a tough one.

The genre of my book, Alebrijes, is a fantasy. I know this because I know this has happened in the world because these said dangerous "Alebrijes" Don't actually exist as a monster in the world.
