I’m exhausted by the author’s manner of writing. I literally have to stop reading to mini-rant about it. ex: “The recently deceased firebrand Susan Sontag famously, if a bit hysterically, foretold the future of progressive cultural criticism and identified its principal target in her celebrated 1967 essay, “What’s Happening to America”. Almost every sentence is this tiresome. Okay, rant over.

Living in Chicago or very near to it for the last 70 years, this book- little surprises me. As I was taught science that wasn't and see this progressive left economic and homo sapiens intellectual/ intelligentsia "truth" for "change and progress" up close and personal for more years . Revealing itself to its end core of feral actions amorality crime coupled with economic and emotional bankruptcy.
