Status Updates From Children of the Gold Rush

Lots of Anglo miners in Alaska married native Alaskan women and produced children together. Many of the miners would cry when they saw the few kids nearby mining towns as it reminded them of the kids they had faraway back home.

I like learning about the Alaskan children of the gold miners. Gold mining families always had to keep on moving to find more gold. Mining towns sometimes had no kids. When the miners did see kids they were reminded about their own children they’d left behind.
