That second last issue to this, which wasn't written by Dini, was quite rough to me. Comic booky and filler but I did appreciate the look of the faces to this and noticed the amount of shadowing to the faces that I hadn't noticed in the other issues.

Immediately stuck by the thoughts of Batman in the first issue; how he is reading the people he is observing in an almost novel narration way. Very different to that of LONG HALLOWEEN. The distance in his character as he puts on his Bruce Wayne alter ego to investigate who is robbing people in wealthy Gotham circles is novel. That and I didn’t predict who the villain was in that first issue is a promising start.
