Status Updates From Breakfast at Tiffany's and ...

Capote's realism shines through with interesting characterization and revealing dialogue. I'm studying it more than I'm enjoying it.

I finished the first story, which is Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It’s interesting to me because the movie adaptation is both very different and very similar in its own way. Like, some of the movie’s dialogue comes from the novella almost verbatim, but they took extreme liberties with some elements of the plot. (The book, for example, is not a love story between Holly and “Fred” like the movie.)
