Status Updates From The Turn of the Screw

I have to admit that despite this being a short work it doesn't read very quickly to me. The narration became really repetitive, the woman telling the story repeats the same thoughts over and over (I literally thought I made a mistake and am reading pages I already read) - yes, we understand you consider yourself very brave and that all you want is to protect the children.. how about we move on??

Second attempt, its not endearing itself to me on a re-read. Think i need to accept Henry James is not for me.
