Omg, this isn't a school dance. Frequently beginning paragraphs with questions that awkwardly lead to the subject of said paragraph is what children who are trying to sound smart do at parties. That the inane author comments at the end of most items seem intended to be puns, but decidedly fall short of producing anything more than an eye roll. I am more than halfway through this book, I will persevere.

Not only does the author need an editor, he needs a fact checker. Mike Tyson is alive, so should not have been referred to as "The late boxing legend".
So much for a book claiming to be full of fascinating facts.

Fred Flynn needs to find a decent editor. In the anecdote about Operation Ivy Bells the dates are wrong. A mission that he says began in 1984 he also claims remained undetected until 1981, but gave the US many Soviet secrets during that time. A search using Google® finds that the tap was placed in 1971 and it was discovered (thanks to a US traitor) by the Soviets in 1984. This is just 1 example of sloppiness I found.

There is some repetition of items not only within the book and section, but I have found it happen on the same page. A good editor would have caught this type of thing.
It does have a lot of fun anecdotes, but so far I am not seeing any sources for these stories.
