Aha! I WAS right, the insta love DID serve a legitimate plot purpose! Unfortunately you have to get FIFTEEN HOURS into the audiobook before you find that out. No wonder so many people DNF this book. You have to have so much patience and faith in the author to get through this.

This book could be 200 pages shorter and it would still have too many pointless smut scenes. My favorite parts so far have been every scene where the MMC is not present nor thought about.

Ok I thought for a minute we were going somewhere with the whole insta-love thing, that it was going to be a rouse to move us towards some greater plot design that would explain the nonsensicalness of it but…nope. We couldn’t have done something interesting with an annoying plot device, could we 🙃

Ugh. Insta love. Plus way too many competing plot lines. I only care about the sister. Where’s her story? I’d read the sister’s story. I hope this gets better.
