Status Updates From An Apple for the Creature

Read Kelner’s work to close out the book and it was equally awesome as everything else in the book.

Read Sniegoski’s story and it was so amazing including all the dogs and the grief.

Just read Holder’s VSI and my god it was effing amazing. Haven’t read any of her series yet and I sure hope this is related to one of them.

The book is never ending good stories. Hockensmith and his “An Introduction to Jewish Myth & Mysticism strikes again. The fact that I’m a historian maybe adds that additional detail of familiarity of campus life is awesome as well.

Read Faith Hunter’s “Golden Delicious” and Ilona Andrews “Magic Tests” and both were absolutely incredible. This anthology is proving to be one of the absolutely best anthologies I’ve ever read as well as one of the best books I have ever read.

Read Bowen’s “Low School”, Benson’s “Callie Meet Happy”, and Carey’s “Iphigenia in Aulis” and they are all incredibly moving and powerful in their own unique ways although I believe the last is probably the most powerful of the book so far and that says a lot because I have absolutely loved every single story.

Read Liu’s “Sympathy for the Bones” and my god this anthology is rocking after four stories. So damn good. Perfect antihero story

Read Harstad’s “Academy Field Trip” and it was so fucking amazing the only disappointing part is that he doesn’t seem to have ever returned to writing any sort of spec fiction.

Read Maberry’s “Spellcaster 2.0” and it was absolutely so amazing that I don’t have the words to describe jt

Read Harris’s “Playing Possum” which was amazing and sad given the state of our shitty country’s refusal to solve school shootings with stringent controls on guns
