Slightly over half way now. I am still struggling with two main characters but my struggles now come from understanding their motivations. Which means that I am being pulled into the story enough to try to relate to them. I will note that it seems that there are two different stories going on in this book rather then one with multiple parts.

The story has gotten better as it progressed. The confusing parts in the beginning were in fact intentional on the authors part (go figure), do not want to say more on that in case you plan on reading this one.

OMG, three pages in and I am physically cringing from the quality of the writing. As people have finished it I assume it gets better...

A clerk & a cop survive an asteroid hit followed by several earthquakes. They find each other, discuss the dark clouds on the horizon signs of an impact winter which may last months/years. Instead of choosing a grocery store or mall to bunker down in, they choose a dentist office. They do not go gathering supplies. Instead they take a shower in the fire hydrant, then have sex. Seriously?! This is not looking good.
