Interesting book. Around 70% of this one was silent captured out on the run. Liked both Jackson and Maya in this one. Jackson was pretty decent and Maya was a badass. Enjoyed the whole thing but for some reason, I felt Jihad was the undercover officer so didn’t surprise me as much. They relationship was built well from the previous books so it didn’t feel off as maybe Ryan and Ace.

Okay, holy crap. This one is so friggin intense with the beating and everything. Also, it was very uncomfortable getting into the terrorists’ psyche because they claimed to be Muslim and were really the worst pieces of shit I’ve ever read about. But I am glad that the author didn’t just leave it like that and explained through their thoughts that they believed that these craps weren’t following the religion

Okay, Jackson’s a really nice guy! And things got really messed real fast. The story didn’t even really start much and crap started happening. But it was handled well because the characters were built well already in the previous books. Can’t really get a hang on Maya’s character but that’s just what the author wants I think. Looking forward to reading the rest.

Jackson was super frustrating at the end of the previous book but let’s see if he redeems himself

If the torture scenes keep up I'm not sure I'll be able to read this. I know this happens, I can't begin to imagine what being a POW is like but even these fiction scenes feel so damn real. Kudos to the author but it's honestly hard to get through.

Holy heck these books are so much more than a typical military romance book..... the writing, emotions and realities of war are incredible.

OH MY! You know the author is doing a fantastic job when you cry over one of the bad guy's dying.
