From one drama to the next .. i just want it to be over.
The writing is flat for me.
I just discovered this is first in a trilogy. I probably won’t read the next one closely. I also checked it out from the library.

This book is so not a quick read for me.
400 pages .. i hope to finish it today !

Carly is suspended without pay and stripped of gun and badge !
She would not give info to the bosses of a private conversation with Londy.

I like that Carly is an ocean swimmer :)

Carly was ambushed by Derek (masked) @ her home and he ended up dead by gunshot (wee hours of the morning.)
Why did he try to bash her head in with a baseball bat ?!

The waitress called up Carly and spilled the news .. spiteful. That’s how she found out. Nick told his side for the first time in ch. 21 to Carly.
She misses her dad SO much ….

Thru ch. 21
Nick just “copped” to becoming a Christian after his infidelity. He goes 2 same church as Carly’s mom.
That rocks Carly’s world some ….

Need 2 take a break from this one for a bit.

Corruption .. needs to be rooted out.
