The City of Bells - everything I enjoy in an Elizabeth Goudge story; gorgeous descriptions of nature and homes that make you feel as if you are actually in the book alongside the characters food, birds and animals lovingly featured.
A coming home, having grown up loving The Little White Horse, there is a part of me that gives a deep sigh of relief at the beauty and familiarity of her writing.
