Status Updates From The Grammarian

Alexandre is on his way home back to Paris. He is in Bombay. The last several chapters have been very emotional. The writing is beautiful and somewhat haunting but easy to read. I am still trying to take in all that has happened. In a month, every thing was turned upside down.

At the time that this story takes place, Machu Picchu has just been discovered by Bingham.

Alexandre reached Waltair and we have seen Anjali, at home, waiting out the preparations for the academic.

Met Alexandre Lautens, French, husband of Madeline, father of Mattieu and Catherine. He is on a train in India.

Gorgeous, multi-layered writing that employs the author's linguistics background to superb effect. There are also many copy-editing mistakes, and I'm reading the hardcover, not an ARC. Review to come.
