This book is not at all what I thought it was going to be. I'm confused.

So far this book is kind of "meh". Some funny moments here and there, but I'm bugged by the characters' habit of talking without contractions, which I find weird. Plus some of the plot seems very obvious to me.

This is a clever and light-hearted read. Perfect for summer vacations, to read on a plane, the beach, etc. Like other reviewers, I also wanted more post-apocalyptic action, and less Cinderella story. Did I wish the book wouldn't end or think about the characters for a couple of days once I was done? No. Did I feel like it was a waste of time? No.
