Incredible book! A real page turner.

The author quickly showed Tucker's belief in supernatural things as he claimed, "Yeah, well, he did disappear" (Hautman 8). This shows that Tucker's first thought when he couldn't find his dad was that he disappeared, which is not humanly possible.

Yar Lia then goes into a disko and disappears. Tucker then follows her, telling Kosh to get his mother to become normal. The book ends there.

Tucker finds his dad, who is now Father September, who is working with the priest that tried to kill Tucker twice. They talked, and later their conversation in a green tent with a disko, which they called a maggot, when Yar Lia comes in and tells Tucker that his father will kill him. Kosh comes in, and later Ronnie comes in and hits Kosh with a baton. Tucker takes his leg off with an arma, a gun.

Tucker wakes up and meets a Medicant. She tells him that they took his appendix. He was then taken to a disko because the place was under attack. He falls on top of a building and realizes he was in Hopewell. Meanwhile, Kosh was at his barn when he saw the disko. Lahlia soon came out of it, with her name now being Yar Lia. She tells Kosh that Tucker needs help and that they can use the bike to get to him.

Tucker's father heard soldiers outside and order Tucker to put on a robe. The soldiers walked up to them and hit Tucker's dad. His dad fought them and he told Tucker to run into the disko. Tucker goes in and lands on a dead body. He got up and saw little machine ants eating that dead body. He wanted to see what it felt like by being bitten by one of them and they started to make him sleep."
