After bombs had detonated, officers ordered their underlings to go to Ground Zero and extract water samples with their bare hands. Many of the sailors around the lake collected salmons whose air-bladders had exploded, and they fried them on fires and ate them. Many of the soldiers died of radiation poisoning afterwards.
