This was my first Bones book and it's hard to form any real positive opinion on the series. It's so clogged with boring technical jargon, bloated with descriptive paragraphs that offer nothing to the world building/tone and a lot of racism. If you were to take a shot each time Tempe's panties were mentioned you'd die of alcohol poisoning. The last 80 pages were engaging but that's not a great payoff for 368 bad pages

Reading this out of obligation because my mom loaned me this book. Somehow it is so much more racist than I could have ever anticipated. Marking this note here on page 134 praying that somehow I can make it through whatever's left of this slop.
