Finished book one, A return engagement. The title makes little sense. The novelette is 60 percent description and 30 percent of the other couples ' story, while only 10 percent being devoted to the actual couple.

As yet I've finished the first novelette, A Return Engagement. The writing style was engaging. But the romance took a backseat to the events unfolding around the other couple. Also the conflict supposed to keep them apart for 9 years was wafer thin. The heroine was actually unaware of her own drawing back, as the author put it, so we couldn't be sure who drew back. Lots of description but very little actual story.
