Why must Goodreads not have half stars? I don’t know how I’ll rate this. It’s good, but the question is how good.

A lot like “1984” and “Son” so far

Very 1984 inspired so far.

This is a page turner

So far this book is like Handmaids Tale meets Divergent meets 2025 America. I am enjoying it so far

I still don’t know how I feel about the characters. I feel for the story, but it’s hard to connect to all of them. Idk it just feels like words on paper at times. However, that doesn’t mean I’m blind to the symbolism of the story and can’t connect with what is happening. I honestly think the story would be better from the perspective of the kids in the village as well. Idk
