A sobriquet ( SOH-bri-kay) or soubriquet is a nickname, sometimes assumed, but often given by another... 

I love new words! But I dont think I'll ever be casually working this one into a sentence without sounding like a pretentious douche (is there any other kind?), so i will have to settle for sharing it here. Enjoy!
