Easy book to read, well written, found it hard initially to distinguish which nurse was which. The detail about the injuries sustained and the war really brought home to me the terrible events and destruction to humanity.

Not that I want Wallace to die but he shouldn't lead on a woman like that, he's a married man. Poor girl.

I thought there was a jump between on board & Egypt, like we missed out on a little bit of the story. I also think we here more from Meg's story. I wonder if that is intentional.

After reading chapter 1, there is a page from the father expressing how he wished his daughter didn't go on the boat. I hope there are more of these thought the chapters.
