Status Updates From The Undiscovered Goddess

Not my usual cuppa, but catching up with some early NetGalley requests. So far more fun than I was expecting.

I want to learn to play the guitar and have foreign film nights once a week... Holly has done a complete 180 since the beginning of the book. Thank goodness because she was AWFUL.

Really not that well-written. I guess it can get away with that since it's supposed to be a journal? I don't know. I also don't like Holly. It's hard to like a book when you don't like the main character. I find practically every character annoying. I hope it gets better.

I hope I don't use my period as an excuse half as much as Holly does. It's getting pretty old, and I'm only about a third of the way done. I get it, you're cranky and crampy and bloated. So is 25% of the female population. Suck it up!

Not sure how I feel about this book so far. From the reviews and the summary, I thought it would be funnier. Also, I'm not sure if it's just the Netgalley version or if it's all the ebooks, but it's terribly formatted with line breaks in really weird places. On the (maybe) plus side, this book is making me want to take up journaling again.

I had to keep checking to make sure this was fiction and not self-help...

I am LMAO with this book! Very funny and having a blast reading it. I can so see myself writing similar entries!
