Status Updates From Thunderbolts Red Omnibus

As predicted, the book slightly goes downhill once Way exits. Soule's writing is fine, but the art takes a huge step down from Dillon and Noto. Sterns is still an interesting character, and I loved #19. Deadpools part in the 3rd arc was hilarious and well thought out and written. Just a bit of a basic plot, and the art drastically let this arc down

Second arc done. Gamma weapons plot is average, but loved elektra's brother's involvement. Deadpool feels like a spare part in this book compared to the others, which is a shame, although the other characters do shine. Noto's art is superb. #12 was a huge standout, felt like it came straight from a punisher book. I love Dillon's art! Will be interesting to see where it goes post-Way writing. Expecting a decline tho!

Good first arc. Highly entertaining seeing all these characters that usually work alone working together. The plot is unique enough too, and I'm still trying to decipher motives. I'm enjoying being introduced to some Hulk characters (particularly The Leader and Red Hulk) that I haven't encountered before. Dillon's artwork is stellar as usual, and Noto's on this second arc too. Interested to see where it goes.
