It's fascinating how theater can be used as a documentary-like medium. Unfortunately, that's the only nice thing I can say about it now. I'm counting down pages till I finish this section.

Getting through the section on theater has been difficult. It reminds me of when I was reading Hamlet and there was a play in the play displaying the original play. I understand the importance of the section here regarding theater, and that it plays a role in understanding a nation's history...but man I really didn't sign up to reading a play 😭
