Status Updates From Wedding Peach, Band 1

Man, the name changes in the German translation make no sense. Limone into Kiiro, and now Celeste into Selecau? If they wanted to localize the names, couldn't they at least do an actual translation??

Speaking of books I'm uninterested in - this has been a disappointing experience so far. I love the Wedding Peach anime with all its flaws. But the manga is just... Mleh? The art is honestly ugly. The translation has taken too much liberties, especially with the names. The story is boring and weirdly paced. I think the only thing I like is the cover ~_~

Oh wow, not loving the art style. It really doesn't compare to Kazuko Tadano's (Character designer for the anime version, also did the designs for Sailor Moon). I will say this new German deluxe hardcover edition has a gorgeous cover though. Never read the manga at all, but I love the anime, so let's see if the writing can compensate for the art... 🙈
