Status Updates From Tomb of Sand

I find all the metaphors a bit difficult to follow, but it’s not just the beginning! I love that the walls, doors and windows have a life of their own in Geetanjali Shree’s world - the wall that the grandmother wants to become one with; the door that is like a portal to the past and the future, ever revolving and accommodating; the window that allows for Beti’s freedom.

I didn't realize how weird this book was going to be. It will be a slow burn that i keep returning to with other books thrown in
