He ultimately had to choice between Trampoline and Diving. He chose Diving so he could try to get into the olympics. At first he struggled with his coaches. They told him the negative of his diving instead if the positive. He felt angst because he was only told what not to do, not how to do it. In everyday life, its hard for me personally to be told what i'm doing wrong. Like Matt, I am motivated by encouragement.

When you do something good, you normally get payed for it. In this case, Matt was showing off some dives at a pool. The olympic diving coach happened to be their. He was paid when he was asked if he wanted to try professional diving.

Matthew was always picked last for team activities, when he found he was good at trampoline , he never gave up. He fell and injured himself many times, but he never gave up and tried harder. This is a good example of an attitude we should all have.

Although he had struggles, he always worked around them. He acted a bit girly at school, he was afraid of this mother. He wanted to find something he was good at it. He completed his task.

Life was tough for him as a kid, his mother was only 18 and his father had walked away. His mother was very stubborn. She didn't let anything disrupt her morals. They didn't have much money, and her mother didn't have enough money to keep the electricity running. She also had a short temper. Matthew never stoped loving his mother, but was afraid of her. This makes me realize how fortunate I am, and I'm thankful.
